FaithLift

These days of celebration will include praise and worship, teaching, time for fellowship, Eucharistic Adoration and an opportunity for prayer ministry and confession.

We do not offer a parallel programme for children on our FaithLift days; children are always welcome to accompany their parents. But parents with younger children may find our Family Days more suited to their needs.

UPCOMING:

10 July 2022 (Sunday)

Sunday FaithLift events run from 2 pm to 5.30pm. There is a 12.00 Mass available for those not serving in their parishes.

Saturday FaithLift events begin with Mass at 12.00 and run till 5.00pm.

Please bring a packed lunch.

There is no need to book for FaithLift – simply turn up at SENT, our Mission House at the end of Sawyers Hall Lane in Brentwood, Essex, CM15 9BX.

Sion Catholic Community for Evangelism, in partnership with Brentwood Diocese, offers a 10-hour specialist CCRS module, Evangelisation, in Autumn 2022.

IN PERSON: attend two study days 10 September and 12 November

OR

ONLINE: five two-hour sessions 7 pm – 9 pm on Thursday evenings
3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th November and 1st December via Zoom

In this module you will discover

  • the Biblical roots and key Vatican documents about how and why we should share our faith with others

  • the history of how the Catholic Faith spread through the world and the new challenges of a post-Christian world, which requires a “new evangelization”

  • the usual thresholds of faith which believers pass through on the journey from “no religion” to being a committed member of the Church

  • the key pastoral challenges of sharing faith in today’s culture, and many tools which can help individuals, parishes and communities to become effective in sharing the Gospel message.

This module is open to CCRS participants across England & Wales in lieu of taking one of the specialist modules in your local CCRS centre.

The course is also open to anyone who simply wants to learn more about how and why to share the Good News of Jesus Christ!

Moving in the Anointing

Moving in the Anointing

A Charismatic teaching weekend to help us grow in the Gifts and Charisms of the Holy Spirit

13-15 May 2022

The focus this year  was on the call to take the place God has assigned us in these times we are living and to position ourselves in such a way that He can use us in our local context for conversion, for life, for hope, for transformation. Now, more than ever, God is calling us to run the race to the end!

The foundational Scripture for the weekend was:

‘And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?’
(Esther 4:14)

Please do not let finances stop you from booking for the weekend. If you are unable to afford the suggested donation, please let us know.

Registration for this year is closed. For more information about the event, email Allegra Mutanda ALLEGRA.MUTANDA@GMAIL.COM

Room Availability

Moving in the Anointing is a popular event, and we wish to give as many people as possible the opportunity to attend. Most of the residential rooms at Sion Community are shared (twin) rooms. Under current Covid restrictions, we cannot offer shared rooms (unless two guests come from the same household or explicitly ask to share). However, we expect that after the UK Government lifts many of its Covid restrictions in March, we will be able to offer shared rooms and that guests on the MIA weekend will be accommodated in twin rooms with a second guest (of the same sex). There is a higher suggested donation for single occupancy requests.

The house in Bethany was a place of welcome and encounter. Lazarus, Mary and Martha welcomed Jesus into the intimacy of their home and He encountered them in the deepest part of their being, their lives being transformed forever. Each visit drew them closer to Himself in their discipleship journey.

Come and reflect on your own journey as a disciple of Jesus, called to go into a deeper experience of the fullness of life with Him.

This teaching series will take place online over three weekends

12th-14th March 2021

14th-16th May 2021

9th-11th July 2021

We strongly encourage participants to take part in all three weekends but each weekend can be booked independently.

Each weekend will include 4 sessions: Friday 7.30-9.00 pm, Saturday 10.00-11.30 am & 6.30-8.00 pm, and Sunday 4.30-6.00 pm.

It will also be possible to book a slot to receive personal prayer on Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon of these weekends.

As with all Sion Community events, we ask for a donation from those taking part but do not wish lack of finance to obstruct anyone from participating. As a guideline, we suggest that an appropriate donation would be £20 to take part in one online weekend.
